Best practice in assessment includes clear communication regarding criteria, timely feedback, and both summative and formative assessment. The criteria for this project has been clearly communicated through a checklist. In addition, we will receive feedback at key points, both from the instructor and classmates. Finally, in order to take ownership of my own learning, I created the assessment rubric below which synthesizes the criteria I have received, along with additional elements that I consider important for the final product. I will be using this rubric as a checklist to determine whether I have met the requirements for this project. I invite you, the reader to give me your feedback through this form. I have provided a larger space at the bottom for written comments. Your feedback will provide me with multiple perspectives, which is an important constructivist outcome provided by connection through collaboration and scaffolding.
